Former Daytona Commissioner Carl Lentz Going to Trial Over Strip Club Fracas

DELAND — The former Daytona Beach city commissioner who prosecutors say threw a drink at a bartender a year ago in a beachside strip club is set to stand trial Friday on a misdemeanor battery charge.

A jury was selected Monday for the state’s case against Carl Lentz IV.

The panel of four men and two women — along with one woman as an alternate juror — will hear the case involving the March 21, 2014, fracas where Lentz is accused of throwing an alcoholic beverage at bartender Mandy Frymyer, 30, at Club Topic in Daytona Beach. Read Full Story Here
