Animal Cruelty Case Dropped Against Former School Board Member

Richard Marier’s attorney said his client had a good defense in his favor.

That’s the name of an actual law in Florida — the “good defense for killing dog” law — which gives a pet or livestock owner the legal right to use force against an aggressive dog.

Marier, a former member of the Flagler County School Board, has maintained since his arrest almost two years ago that he stabbed his Palm Coast neighbor’s pit bull because he was protecting his own dog. Read The Full Story Here
